Explosion! - the museum of naval firepower has won so many awards we haven't space to list them. The latest was 'Best Small Visitor Attraction' at the South East tourism awards in 2005.
The museum is housed in a group of listed buildings which centre around the original Priddys Hard powder magazine of 1777. These sit on the edge of a camber basin on the western shore of Portsmouth Harbour, with views across to Portchester Castle, Whale Island and the Naval Base.
Some of our yachts can berth right by the entrance to the museum (tide dependent) while our larger yachts will berth at Royal Clarence Marina. Guests are either ferried by rib to the museum or take a five-minute walk over the Millenium Bridge to the entrance.
